Terms and Conditions

IN RESPECT OF THE GFI CERTIFICATE IN FINANCING GREENER HOMES

April 2026

1. Introduction and Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to the provision of the GFI Certificate in Financing Greener Homes (the ‘Programme’) by GFI Solutions Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 13561294 and whose registered office is at 6 St. Andrew Street, Ground Floor, Farringdon, London, EC4A 3AE (‘GFI’, ‘we’ and ‘our’).

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before you enrol on the Programme. These Terms and Conditions tell you who we are, how we will fulfil your enrolment, how you and we may change or cancel enrolment, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information.

By completing an enrolment or application, you confirm that you are registering with us for the Programme in connection with your trade, business or profession.

2. Interpretation

In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:
• ‘Business Day’ means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or bank or public holiday in England.
• ‘Delegate’ means any individual (which may include you) enrolled on the Programme.
• ‘Fees’ means the price of the Programme specified on our website at the time you enrol.
• ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ means trademarks, service marks, trade and business names, domain names, design rights, copyright, moral rights, know-how, rights in databases, rights in inventions, patents, and all similar rights worldwide.
• ‘LMS’ means the online learning management system (currently LearnWorlds) through which the Programme is hosted and delivered. The LMS provides the course player, assessment tools, discussion forums, reporting and the delegate-facing website (GFI Academy).
• ‘Programme’ means the GFI Certificate in Financing Greener Homes, delivered via the LMS.
• ‘Training Materials’ means any materials or documents provided by us in connection with the Programme, whether provided before, during or after the Programme.
• ‘Scholarship Scheme’ means the funded scholarship programme operated in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), under which selected Delegates receive a funded place on the Programme.

3. Enrolment and Booking

Enrolment may be completed via the Programme landing page or application form. It is your responsibility to ensure that all details submitted are accurate before completing your enrolment. The Programme launch date is as specified on the Programme landing page accessible from the GFI website. Applicants on the waiting list will be notified when the application window opens.

Our acceptance of your enrolment will take place when you receive a confirmation email form us. At that point, a contract will come into existence between you and us. You will usually receive your confirmation email within 30 minutes of completing your enrolment. If you have not received it within 30 minutes, please check your spam or junk email folder before contacting us.

All enrolments are non-transferable and may not be sold or transferred by you without our consent. Please contact us at training@gfi.green if you would like to discuss any changes to your enrolment.

For Delegates enrolling via the Scholarship Scheme, places are awarded on a competitive basis. For LBG staff enrolled as part of the internal cohort, enrolment will be facilitated directly by LBG without requiring a formal application. These Delegates will receive a welcome email upon enrolment. Receipt of an application does not guarantee a place. Successful applicants will be notified by GFI and/or LBG and enrolled directly into the LMS platform. The Scholarship Scheme application window, eligibility criteria and selection process are as set out on the Programme landing page, accessible from the GFI website.

4. Programme Delivery

The Programme is delivered on a fully self-paced, on-demand basis via the LMS platform. Delegates are recommended to complete the Programme within ten (10) weeks of enrolment, with ongoing access to all materials for the duration of the enrolment period.

The course content is delivered primarily via video with voiceover, supplemented by interactive elements (clickable definitions, knowledge-check prompts, discussion forums) and downloadable reference materials. Delegates may pause and resume the course at any point; progress is automatically saved by the LMS.

We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the LMS platform remains available. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability and accept no liability for any temporary interruption due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We have carried out extensive due diligence on our chosen platform provider and have confidence in its capability to deliver a high-quality learning experience. In the rare instances where learner outcomes are adversely affected by technical difficulties caused by a platform outage (e.g. downtime during an exam, loss of progress), we would work with the individual to resolve the matter fairly on a case-by-case basis. Delegates should contact training@gfi.green if they encounter any such issues. See ‘5.3 Technical Failures’ for more information.
The information and guidance provided as part of the Programme is based on best available information at the time of communication and is for general information purposes only. The Programme does not constitute financial, investment or any other type of professional advice.

The Programme is provided for educational and training purposes only. It is designed to enhance professional knowledge and understanding of green home finance products, policy frameworks, and market developments. Nothing in the Programme should be construed as a personal recommendation to enter into any particular transaction, product, or course of action. Delegates must not rely on the content of the Programme as a substitute for independent professional advice tailored to their specific circumstances or those of their clients. The Programme does not authorise or qualify Delegates to provide regulated financial advice. Delegates remain responsible for ensuring they operate within the scope of their own professional qualifications, regulatory permissions, and firm authorisations.

4.1 Content Review and Updates

Programme content is reviewed on a quarterly basis. Time-sensitive content (including, but not limited to, government grant schemes, regulatory requirements, interest rates and products availability) is flagged within the Programme and may be updated more frequently, or caveated that the video content is subject to change and guidance given on how to find the latest updates. GFI will notify London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) of any significant content or structural changes prior to implementation, though this does not normally include changes required to ensure the course content remains relevant and up to date. A Change Log is maintained and available to LIBF upon request.

4.2 Discussion Forum and Community

The Programme includes access to a discussion forum within the GFI Academy dashboard, where Delegates may post questions and comments as they progress through the course. GFI and/or its nominated team members will monitor the forum and endeavour to respond to queries in a timely manner. GFI reserves the right to moderate, remove or disable the discussion forum at any time. By using the discussion forum, Delegates agree to act respectfully and in accordance with GFI’s community guidelines, which are available on the platform. Delegates must not post content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, misleading or in breach of any third party’s rights. The Delegates agree that you must not use forums or any course activity to discuss, coordinate or exchange information in a way that could restrict, distort or prevent competition, including any anti competitive agreements or conduct.

GFI does not accept, and to the extent permitted by law excludes, liability for any loss arising from relying on information provided during the Programme that may have become outdated since the date of publication.

5. Assessment

5.1 Assessment Form

The Programme includes a final, timed multiple-choice assessment of 40 questions. The pass mark is 60%. The assessment draws from a question bank of questions, with questions selected randomly across all four chapters of the Programme, with even weighting to ensure balanced coverage of all key areas. The assessment is designed to test embedded learning and can be taken on demand after completion of the preceding modules.
The timed assessment must be completed in a single sitting once started. Delegates should ensure they have sufficient time available and a stable internet connection before beginning the assessment.

5.2 Resit Policy
Delegates who do not achieve the pass mark may re-attempt the assessment up to two (2) times. The following applies:
  • First resit: available immediately following an unsuccessful attempt, at no additional charge.
  • Second resit: available immediately following an unsuccessful second attempt, at no additional charge.
  • GFI will use reasonable endeavours to enforce the attempted resits within the ten (10) week course window.

Where a Delegate has exhausted all three attempts (original plus two resits) and has not achieved the pass mark, they will not be issued a certificate. GFI will be notified automatically by the LMS upon a third failed attempt and reserves the right to assess on an individual basis any additional resit attempts. Self-funded Delegates wishing to discuss re-enrolment options should contact training@gfi.green. Scholarship Delegates should contact GFI directly.
GFI reserves the right to investigate and suspected assessment malpractice, including but not limited to sharing of assessment content, impersonation, or use of artificial intelligence to complete the assessment. GFI may withhold, suspend or revoke certification where malpractice is identified.

5.3 Technical Failures
If a Delegate experiences a verified technical failure during a timed assessment sitting (for example, a platform outage confirmed by GFI or the LMS provider), GFI will use reasonable endeavours to reinstate the attempt at no additional charge. Delegates should contact training@gfi.green as soon as practicable after the incident.

6. Certification

Upon passing the assessment, Delegates will automatically receive the GFI Certificate in Financing Greener Homes (LIBF-accredited CPD) via the platform within seven (7) Business Days. The certificate is available to download as a PDF from the course learner dashboard and will also be accessible via the Delegate's account. A digital badge for use on LinkedIn and in email footers will also be issued. The certificate and badge must only be used by the named Delegate subject to LinkedIn or social media terms. The Delegates agree to follow the usage guidelines with no alteration to the certificate or badge and to remove the certificate and badge from any platform or CV if requested or if the certificate is revoked.

The graduation event to recognise Programme completers on the Scholarship Scheme is planned for 2026 in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group, who will be responsible for hosting arrangements. Further details will be communicated to eligible Delegates in advance.

Certificates are issued only to Delegates who appear on a confirmed pass list. GFI reserves the right to withhold certification pending resolution of any dispute, complaint, fraud or malpractice investigation.

7. Access and Resource Library

Delegates have access to all course content, downloadable materials and the GFI Academy resource library for the duration of their enrolment period, though the recommended timeframe for programme completion is 10 weeks. The resource library contains supplementary PDFs, reference documents and materials linked to each chapter.

Access to resources is controlled via the LMS. Delegates who have completed the course will continue to have access to resources for the duration of their enrolment period. The standard enrolment period is six (6) months from the date of enrolment, during which Delegates have access to all course content, the assessment, and the resource library, subject to change. GFI will communicate any changes to access periods in advance.

GFI may, from time to time, add new modules, events or content to the GFI Academy LMS. Delegates who have completed the Programme may be offered access to such additional content. GFI reserves the right to change the access rights and request payment for additional content at its discretion.

Following the end of the enrolment period, Delegates will retain access to the Community Discussion and Resources page, but the course content will no longer be available.

8. Cancellations, Deferrals and Refunds

8.1 Our Cancellation Rights

We reserve the right to withdraw the Programme or a Delegate’s enrolment without liability in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to: significant changes to the regulatory or market landscape that render the content materially inaccurate; or where a Delegate has breached these Terms and Conditions. Where GFI withdraws the Programme or a Delegate’s enrolment for reasons outside the Delegate’s control, any self- funded Delegate will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of Fees paid calculated by reference to the proportion of Programme not yet accessed by the Delegate at the time of withdrawal.

8.2 Your Cancellation Rights (Self-Funded Delegates)

Self-funded Delegates may cancel their enrolment within 30 days of payment by giving notice to us via email to training@gfi.green. The following refund policy applies:
  • Cancellation before accessing any Programme content: a full refund during the 30-day cooling off period is due.
  • Once the Programme has been commenced (i.e. any content accessed, watched, or downloaded): no refund is due. Platform analytics will be used to determine user activity that has taken place on the platform.

8.3 Scholarship Delegates
Scholarship Delegates are not entitled to a refund as they have not paid Fees. If a Scholarship Delegate is unable to complete the Programme, they should contact GFI at training@gfi.green as soon as practicable. GFI and LBG reserve the right to reallocate a Scholarship Delegate's place to another applicant on the waiting list if the Delegate withdraws or is unable to complete the Programme.

8.4 Deferrals (Exceptional Circumstances)
We recognise that Delegates may be unable to complete the Programme due to maternity leave, paternity leave, extended sick leave, or other unforeseen personal circumstances. In such cases:
  • Delegates should notify us at training@gfi.green as soon as practicable.
  • GFI will pause the Delegate’s enrolment and, where operationally possible on the LearnWorlds platform, reinstate access upon their return at no additional charge.
  • The total enrolment period will be extended by the period of the deferral, subject to the Programme remaining live.
  • This clause applies to both self-funded and Scholarship Delegates.

Any refund due will be paid to the original payment method within 21 Business Days of the notice of cancellation.
