How do I create my account?
Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an account setup email from training@gfi.green. Use the link in this email to create your password, then sign in using your email address and new password.
My application has been accepted, but I have not received my account setup email.
Please check your spam, junk, and/ or promotions folders. If you still cannot locate the email, please contact training@gfi.green. with the email address you used to register.
I have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?
On the login page, click the ‘Forgot Password’ link beneath the sign-in fields. Enter the email address you registered with, and you will receive a password reset link. Please check your spam or junk folder if the email does not arrive within 10 minutes. If you continue to experience difficulties, please contact training@gfi.green.
I am locked out of my account. What should I do?
First, double-check that your email address and password have been entered correctly. If you’re still unable to log in, reset your password using the “Forgot password?” option. If you continue to experience issues, please contact training@gfi.green for support.
I am trying to log in, but the platform says my email is not recognised.
Please ensure you are using the same email address you registered with. If you registered via a scholarship link, your access may be tied to a specific email domain. If the issue persists, please contact training@gfi.green.
Can I change the email address associated with my account?
Yes. Once logged into the course , click on “Account” in the top navigation bar. Click “Edit” to update your personal details. From here, you can change your username, full name, email address, and any other information provided when you signed up.
I can’t see my course after logging in - where is it?
Navigate to “My courses” in the top menu to access the Certificate in Financing Greener Homes course.
Can I leave the course and come back later?
Yes, your progress is saved automatically so you can resume where you left off. However, the assessment must be completed in one sitting, so ensure you have a stable internet connection and enough uninterrupted time.
How long will the course take to complete?
The course will take an estimated 7.5 hours to complete over 10 weeks (i.e. approx. 45 minutes per week):
- Week 1: Chapter 1: Introduction and pre-training self-assessment
- Weeks 2-8: Chapters 2-5: Bite-sized training videos and quizzes
- Weeks 8-10: Final timed assessment (60% pass mark – up to two resits)

When will I be able to access all course materials?
The Certificate in Financing Greener Homes is designed to be completed over a 10-week period, with course content released gradually to support effective learning and allow you to apply what you learn in practice.
You will have immediate access to Chapter 1 upon enrolment. Additional chapters will then be released progressively throughout the programme.
Before taking your final assessment, you will receive a comprehensive resource pack containing supplementary materials to support your exam preparation.
You will receive an email notification each time new content becomes available. This approach ensures you have dedicated time to work through each module thoroughly before moving on to the next.
You can also track your progress and see when the next chapter will be released directly from your course dashboard.
The course content is not loading or is displaying incorrectly.
Please try the following steps: (1) refresh the page; (2) clear your browser cache and cookies; (3) try a different browser (we recommend Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge); (4) check that your internet connection is stable. If the issue persists after these steps, please contact training@gfi.green. with details of the browser and device you are using.
Can I complete the course on my mobile phone or tablet?
The course can be accessed on mobile phones and tablets; however, we recommend using a laptop, tablet or desktop for the best learning experience.
How long do I have to complete the course?
The enrolment window runs until the end of Q2 (30 June 2026). Learners must complete the course within ten (10) weeks of commencing the programme.
You may complete the course at your own pace within this period. We recommend setting aside approximately 7.5 hours of study time in total. The course will take around 450 minutes to complete over 10 weeks. (i.e., approx. 45 minutes per week)

Can I go back and revisit completed chapters?
Yes, while you are enrolled in the course, you can revisit completed chapters at any time, including videos and questions. After the 10-week course period ends, you will no longer have access to the video content or questions. However, you will retain access to the resource hub, which includes summaries of key concepts, a glossary, conversation starters, and further reading materials. You will also be able to download your certificate at any time.
I accidentally submitted my exam or quiz before I had finished. Can I retake it?
Learners may re-attempt the assessment up to two times. If you have used all three attempts and one of these was submitted early or by mistake, please contact training@gfi.green.
What happens if I fail the assessment?
You are allowed up to two resits. All attempts must be completed within the 10-week course window.
Is the assessment timed?
Yes. The assessment consists of 40 questions and must be completed within 45 minutes. It is completed in one sitting and cannot be paused once started, so please ensure you have a stable internet connection and enough uninterrupted time before starting. You may choose to take it at a time that best suits you.
I experienced a technical issue during my assessment (e.g., internet disconnection or browser crash). What should I do?
If you experience a technical disruption during your assessment, please contact training@gfi.green as soon as possible with the following information: the date and approximate time of the issue, a description of what happened, and any error messages or screenshots if available. We will review your case and, where appropriate, arrange for you to retake the assessment.
What is the pass mark for the assessment?
60%. You will receive your results immediately after the assessment.
How and when will I receive my certificate?
Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, your LIBF-accredited certificate will be issued digitally via the platform. It will be available in both the course player and your profile once you have passed the final assessment. [Insert any detail on graduation events if relevant.]
Where can I access the course community and discussion space?
You can access the course community directly within the course player or via the Community tab on the course page after logging in. This is where you can join discussions, share insights, and engage with other learners. Please ensure you follow the community guidelines when posting or interacting.
How do I know if I am eligible for the Lloyds Banking Group scholarship?
The scholarship is available; the broker scheme is open to residential and buy-to-let mortgage intermediaries in the UK. Full eligibility details are available on the application page. If you are unsure whether you qualify, please contact training@gfi.green.
I applied for a scholarship place but have not heard back. When will I receive a response?
Scholarship applications are reviewed on a after the 1 May application deadline. You will receive an automatic confirmation email immediately after submitting your application. A separate email confirming whether your application has been successful or not will be sent on 11 May. If you have not received either email, please contact training@gfi.green.
Can I transfer my scholarship place to a colleague?
Scholarship places are non-transferable and are allocated to the individual named in the application. If you are unable to take up your place, please email training@gfi.green. so that the place can be released for another applicant.
What browser and device do I need to complete the course?
We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer with the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. The platform is fully supported on mobile devices; however, we recommend using a laptop, tablet or desktop for the best learning experience.
Do I need to download any software to complete the course?
No. The course is delivered entirely online via your web browser. No additional software downloads are required.
I am accessing the course from my workplace, and some content appears to be blocked.
Some corporate firewalls or network security settings may restrict access to certain online content, including video or interactive elements. Please try accessing the course from a personal device or network. If this is not possible, you may wish to speak with your IT department about whitelisting the course platform domain.
